On collecting my thoughts

When we first got dial-up internet in my family house I never realised the many ways in which my life would become inseparable from such an unquantifiable object. My life has changed in many different ways because of the internet; some of them good, some of them bad. After my life became a never ending cycle of like, share argue, like, share argue, like, share, argue (you get the idea), I decided to take an indefinite hiatus from social media and attempted to refashion my life into a well oiled machine of productivity.

ADHD, mental health and laziness have laid waste to my original plans but as it stands I’m reading a hell of a lot more than I used to and I am on my way to being able to more confidently and efficiently finish projects. One of the things that I don’t really make time for though, is “research” into interesting things; hence the reason for this blog. I am fascinated by the amount of resources out there that offer interesting views on inter-sectional feminism, LGBTQ+ activism and so much more and I’m saddened that I don’t have the time/energy/concentration to read all of them and get involved in interesting debates.

As such I have started this blog and will be filling it with all sorts of posts about my views on particular articles that I read or current events that I find interesting/horrifying/boring/whatever-ing. I’m aiming for more than “oh wow this is cool” or “this sucks” and as such this blog will only be updated when I have the available time/energy resources. My post social-media life is actually affording me a fair bit of time to do fun things though so I’m not expecting this to be too empty for too long.
